Pictures From Biosphere 2

The biosphere 2 is located in Oracle, AZ and it was pretty cool but I have to admit that if someone is not interested in the natural sciences than this is not the place for them to go. Biosphere 1 is the Earth and Biosphere 2 is a scientific facility that  was designed as a way to better understand Earth. It was designed as a way to replicate the ecological environments on Earth in a closed system. There is a miniature ocean that is 25 feet deep with it's own coral reef system, tropical rain forest, savannah, and desert.

Killing time waiting for the tour to start.

Before the tour. Look at that sky!

Wild Life World Zoo: Part 2

There are a lot more of pictures but I don't want to overwhelm anyone. I enjoy a day at the zoo and I always get carried away with pictures. The best part of this zoo is that it is also an aquarium. The aquarium section is still fairly new and they are working on expanding it. I am truly happy to see new exhibitions taking place at our local privately owned zoo. They also have a very successful propagation program. If you are ever in Arizona make the drive to Litchfield Park, AZ to visit this zoo. It will be worth your time.

Wild Life World Zoo Part: 1

Yesterday we went to the Wild Life World Zoo that is located in Litchfield Park, AZ. It was just a spur of the moment thing. The original plan was to go to the movies but there was really nothing we thought was worth watching. Then we decided to go to the zoo since it is at most 20 minutes away. This zoo is privately owned and it just keeps improving year after year. I love visiting each year because I love the renovations and improvements they keep doing.

Besides the renovations our favorite part is going to all the feeding exhibitions they have. We got to feed birds, the giraffe, and the goats. It was a lot of fun and I cannot wait to go back soon. I am even considering getting a membership since I know that the admission money is going into improving the zoo. So here are some glimpses of our day adventure.

Biosphere 2

Tomorrow I will be going to Oracle, AZ to visit the biosphere 2. It  was a human experiment that was conducted sometime in the early 90's. Check out the video below to learn more about it. If you are interested in science than this might be a place to consider visiting. I will provide more information about soon after I get to experience the whole tour. I cannot wait to take a lot of pictures and experience what it is like being inside a manmade biosphere.

Meeting Friends

During the last week of April I got to meet two very special ladies. It was April 27th to be exact when I met Tiffany and Jen. I met both ladies for the very first time and and we had such a great time during our short encounter. I never knew I would create friendships with people through blogging. When I started this blog I never even thought people would stop by and read my blog. It was great meeting both ladies and I hope to see them again in the near future.

Starting Over

I don't like that I keep doing this starting fitness routine and then not following through because something comes up that throws me off schedule. In April I had started doing Insanity but then finals happened and I stopped on week 2! I was so upset that I stopped because that meant I had to start all over again. Last Monday I started week 1 all over again. At first it was so hard to keep up but this week I am finding it easier. I still cannot keep up in the intense cardio sessions throughout the whole 45 min but I am doing much better. I can tell I am getting stronger and my endurance is building up.
Stretching and warming up.

Push-ups are my weakness and I was dying here!

Another day another workout.
This past week I have been pretty good about wearing my hear rate monitor in order to make sure I maintain my maximum heart rate and for my age it should be at around 180bpm to stay in the safe zone. I hope this time around I can keep some consistency with my exercise routine since next week I will start summer school. I have a schedule going right now and I will try my hardest to maintain this exercise schedule. I hope next time I post pictures I will be looking a lot more fit and slimmer.
